Canine Heroes Competition
Details on how to enter the Eukanuba Canine Heroes Competition:
Please forward to the New Zealand Kennel Club (NZKC) details of your story explaining:
and please include with your entry:
- why you are nominating your/the dog
- what category you are nominating him/her for
Entries can be submitted one of three ways:
- a high resolution picture of your/the dog
- your name and contact details.
- Complete the online entry form via the New Zealand Kennel Club website (jpeg photo required). Click here to enter online.
- By emailing the New Zealand Kennel Club at firstname.lastname@example.org -(jpeg photo required)
- By sending the information to:

Life Saving - open to any dog that has performed acts or deeds that may have prevented loss of life
Service category - open to any dog that through a single act or over a period of time displays exemplary service to a service or governmental organisation
Pet category - open to any dog in private ownership that displays in an exceptional way, factors that make the pleasure and joy of owning a dog such a beneficial practice.
Nominees will be judged in the week of 12 September and winners will also be contacted that week. Winners will be invited to travel to Auckland* to attend the National Dog Show 2017 being held 6 - 8 October 2017 and to receive their awards.
The winners, their stories and photos will also be featured in the NZ Dog World Magazine.

*If a category winner resides out of Auckland the NZKC will cover the cost of return flights to Auckland airport and one night's accommodation in Auckland (at accommodation booked by NZKC) for one adult per category. All other associated expenses to be covered by competition winner.
